La strada, scavata nella dura roccia su cui poggia l'intero abitato, risale la collina per giungere fino alla sede dell'antico palazzo comunale, attorniata dalle case in pietra che la schiacciano anche per proteggerla dagli eventi atmosferici, un tempo doveva costituire una delle molte rampe di risalita che dalle mura conducevano verso la piazza centrale. Il nome fa riferimento al forno del pan venale che aveva la sua sede lungo il tracciato e che rimase in funzione dal 1406 al 1953.

OVEN STREET
The peculiar street that winds like a snake in the very heart of the castle gives us a very close image of what the medieval village must have been like. The road, dug into the hard rock on which the entire town sits, goes up the hill to reach the ancient town hall, surrounded by stone houses that protect it from atmospheric agents. Once, it must have been one of the many ramps leading from the walls to the central square. The name refers to the oven that was located along the alley where the bread was sold to the inhabitants of the village from 1406 to 1953.
